Christine Aksu

Supervisor, Coach

My counselling approach

“Appreciative. Clear. Solution-orientated.”

As a recognised ÖVS supervisor and coach, I have many years of experience supporting individuals, teams and organisations in professional contexts. The ÖVS certificate demonstrates the quality of my training and further education, and I am committed to the ethical guidelines of the ÖVS.

I provide counselling of the highest standard.

All counselling formats are designed to enhance your skills, ensure professional excellence and promote your well-being.

My focus is on your resources and strengths, helping you to maintain or regain your resilience and realise your potential.

Your trust and openness are important foundations for this process.

You design your own solutions.

I facilitate and accompany you on your journey.

Experience yourself effectively.

In my work, I place particular value on appreciation and giving you the greatest possible freedom of judgement. By creating an accepting and trusting atmosphere, I aim to empower you to identify your own solutions and needs.

I look forward to getting to know you.

My philosophy

My surname Aksu comes from Turkish and has a special and exciting meaning that many people are not aware of:

AK-SU means ‘clear, pure water’.

For ancient Greek philosophers, water, the basic elixir of life, symbolised dynamism and flexibility. It finds its way and illuminates ambiguities.

Water combines stillness and movement, and I find the image of the vast sea inspiring because it embodies an important tolerance for ambiguity: sometimes it is still, and at other times it is roaring.

The proverb ‘constant dripping wears away the stone’ and the idea that ‘soft water in motion triumphs over the hard’, as described by Bertolt Brecht in his poem ‘Laotse’, show that water symbolises deep knowledge, wisdom and connection to the world.

In this sense, I like to work according to a systemic humanistic approach. This means keeping an eye on the interaction between you as an individual, your role and function, and your mission within the organisation, while also perceiving you as an independent individual who can develop and take responsibility for your actions.

Therefore:

‘If you don’t become the ocean, you will be seasick every day.’ Leonard Cohen
